OK it's the trailer.
Today, in what could considered a whirlwind sequence of events, I was retired fropm the Post Office due to disability this afternoon around 12:40PM.
Without going into excruciating details, I was alerted about a week ago the possibility that a decision on the case was imminent but I thought it might be headed for an appeal. On saturday , I recived a letter saying that I had been accepted but hinting for more information might be needed imcluding a last day at work or "separation date".
So today I went into work with copies of the letter in hand and gave one to my supervisor explaining the need for a separation date and explaining I duessed it owuld be 2 weeks form this Friday which is what had been the time frame in the recent rash of retiremnts we've had. It allows if nothing else for a short send off for the person.
All during the morning peole kept coming up to me wishing me welland I said not to worry Id be around a bit longer but by 11 I was informed that this would be my last day and after finishing my mail prep, I handed in my ID card and lock from my locker and left.
